Appearance

Hair: Eiji has just above shoulder length hair at it's longest, although the shortest layers lay just above his ears. Because he often wears this spiked up it can sometimes be impossible to tell what the length is. Since his hair is always at least partly spiked he has a ruffled style that ranges from an utter mess to stylishly fashioned.

Even Eiji isn't sure what his natural hair colour is, having dyed it so often. However right now it is a very dark brown with some dark "lite" of black, and highlights of a more caramel brown. Mostly it is the top layer than has the most colour variation.

Eyes: Very dark brown eyes, that verge on a honey brown in intense sunlight.

Body: Eiji is a little shorter than average for his height, coming up at just under 5"6 (or so he claims.) With a willowy build it is easy to assume he's skinny when he wears loose fitting clothes, but underneath this will be found a lithe, tawny build gained from his energetic personality.

Usual Clothing: Eiji has no usual clothing, except to say his clothes always have something unique about them. Despite this common clothing he can be found in are combat trousers or shorts and a loose t-shirt that won't restrict his movement.

His footwear is however always the same: he wears padded black trainers that zip up. On the rare time he is not wearing those trainers it is because they are drying out in the sun.

Distinguishing Features: He has a tiny scar under his chin from a gone-wrong acrobatic trick and a few on his back and arms from tree climbing. Other than that it'd be hard to tell him apart from anybody else on a macro shot.


Family

Mother: Jenna Takamoto, 43, strict, smothering and bossy. A stay at home mum.
Father: Seto Takamoto, 42, easy-going, down-to-earth and sensitive. A graphic-book artist and web designer.
Siblings:
Benny Takamoto, 11, and a pain in the butt.

Other Significant Relatives: Uncle Kanji, 31, a tennis instructor and old gymnast he is extremely energetic and immature. He is a main figure in Eiji's life, taking him out every other weekend and practically leaving around the corner from his family.
Short Bio: Eiji as the oldest was born in Tokyo, Japan, but his family moved to England when he was six. During his time in Japan he learnt to speak very good Japanese and was the typical child. However he was very energetic for his age and often tired his mother out when he was at home. He wasn't very clingy and showed himself to be very good at both athletics and intelligent.

After they moved Eiji spent a few months acting out. He couldn't speak English and the only highlight of the move was that he could spend more time with his uncle. Kanji tried to get the boy out of his shell and succeeded by taking him to the park, cinema and to eat out regularly. Eventually Eiji began to pick up the English and began hanging about with children his own age at school.

By twelve he was playing tennis on the school club and was in the gymnastics club. He was always running around but had lost his obedience. He often used his Japanese to impress his mates and make fun at those he found to those he would once have considered senpai. He was extremely popular with his classmates and always willing to help out.

At thirteen he got in a fight with an older boy and this is when his power showed itself. It made sense that he enjoyed acrobatics and climbing because his power wasn't very flashy, indeed it routed itself in athleticism: inhuman perception. For him, and nobody else, time seemed to slow down. He kept this to himself, but tried to make it work for him as the weeks went by.

This change made him more secretive and irritable. He kept to himself more desperately trying to make it work. By fourteen he'd learnt a little about it, such as he could make time slow down when he was high on adrenaline. This meant he was always getting into fights and doing other dangerous activities. His friends changed, falling away in the masses, and his school work became sub-average.

One day he was wishing he could go faster... and that was when his second gift presented itself: air skates! And this was when his uncle realised that his nephew was special. As a former student of the school for these gifted people he knew just what to do.

Other Friends: Eiji has a few acquientices but he forgets names and hasn't been at the school for more than a day or so yet.

School Popularity: As a lively kid Eiji is quite popular with his peers, but not so much with the older students. Thus his popularity averages out at around 4 currently.


Personality

The Good: Eiji is very energetic and active, meaning he is fit and able to bond with like-minded people. He is loyal to his friends willing to back them up with anything. He is logical and has a bright personality. Eiji is willing to try anything.

The Bad: He is very arrogant and prone to arguments. He has a hot-temper with anyone he dislikes, and can be flippant and disrespectful. He dislikes people that aren't willing to try anything and will badger them into it, even if the thing isn't that safe.

The Ugly: The worst thing about Eiji is his attitude to danger and his curiosity. Although originally seen as good traits, these are in small doses and Eiji has them in abundance. He literally does laugh in the face of danger.

The Unknown: Eiji flirts with the ladies and plays mates with the men...but maybe that should be the other way around.

Powers: Inhuman perception and air skates.
Power 1: Inhuman perception gives Eiji the incredibility to see things as though time has slowed down, gives him eyes for detail and a slightly better degree of sight.
Power 2: Air skates basically puts wheels on the bottom of his trainers allowing him to skate at high speed. It can do nothing else and requires intense stamina so can't be maintained for very long.
Sample Roleplay:

The wind rippled through the grass and out onto the lake, stirring the clear water into circular patterns that glittered in the faint sunlight. From his vantage point in a young oak tree, with the leafs rustling beside his ears, the grounds were a peaceful sight. From somewhere the smell of burnt bacon waived over to where he was perched, intermingled with the scent of tree bark and autumn flowers. Those early hours of the morning were the only time Eiji relaxed.

Somewhere a cat meowed, startling him. He fell backwards from the branch, unable to hook his legs around in time to stop his decent to the ground. Time seemed to slow down, each blade of grass moving tauntingly in the wind, and the second meow of the cat drawn out into a long screech. The one or two seconds before he hit the ground was drawn out long enough for him to move around, and soften his fall.

The springy grass was crushed beneath his body as he rolled gently down the hill, coming to a stop before the lake. His heart hammered in his chest, and blood rushed around his body, pounding in his ears. Eiji soon controlled his breathing and sat up, dew from the not yet dry ground covering him from heave to foot.

"Barnacles and Bulrushes." He muttered, echoing a curse from a favourite series of books he read. "I guess I'd best go and get changed." Getting angrily to his feet, and kicking at the ground for good measure, he started up towards the school. The sun was covered by a cloud and the wind kicked up a notch, making him shiver. His temper exploded and he yelled at it, lashing out at the weather stupidly. His high energy, which usually accompanied him through the day had finally kicked in.

Somebody he couldn't see giggled and he shot a malicious look in that direction. In front of him the school loomed impressively, and the door stood not twenty feet from where he'd stopped swinging his arms around and running in circles. Brushing down his clothes and making an attempt to straighten his hair he stepped through into the hallway wishing he'd gone down to have some breakfast instead.
